Coastal Cleanup Day 9-20-25

Saturday, 9-20- Coastal Cleanup Day, 8:30 AM-12 PM, in person. Come down
to Bayfront Park to help clean up the city with your fellow Pinoleans!
If you have buckets and work gloves you should bring those, but if not
the city usually has some available. It’s a great way to enjoy some time
outside and make the city cleaner for everyone. More information at

You’ll get practical tips on navigating the permitting process for home improvements—what requires a permit, what doesn’t, how to avoid common mistakes, and where to find support along the way. This friendly conversation is perfect for homeowners, caregivers, or anyone planning upgrades to make their home safer and more accessible. This is the second workshop in the six-part Pinole Accessible Living (PAL) Series, made possible through a grant from the AARP Community Challenge.

Pinole Creek Cleanup, 8-16-25

Saturday, 8-16- Pinole Creek Cleanup, 10 AM, in person upper creek watershed. “
On Sat, August 16, come see a part of the Pinole Creek Watershed you don’t
normally travel to! Join us at 10 am for a trash cleanup in the Upper Watershed
at the intersection of Alhambra Valley Road and Bear Creek Road (map link:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/j7XRh7th7gLeBKHj6).  We don’t know the weather so far in advance, but it may be sunny and hot, so come prepared! We’ll have water and snacks and all tools. We’ll be cleaning up mostly along the road, so think safety! The Pinole Citizens Academy is a free three-session interactive program that provides insight to City services and operations and offers opportunities for civic engagement in the City.

This is the first Pinole Citizens Academy founded by City Manager, Kelcey Young, with the full support of the Executive Team.

It provides an excellent opportunity for the community to increase their knowledge of City government and its impact. Free Pet Clinic, 8-10-25

Sunday, 8-10- Free Pet Clinic, 9 AM-12 PM, in person Senior Center. “Contra Costa Animal Services is excited to host a Free Pet Vaccination
and Microchip Clinic for cats and dogs! Give your furry friends the
protection they deserve, at no cost to you. Free pet food and flea
prevention will also be provided by Joybound People & Pets. This
clinic is open to Contra Costa residents and services will be offered on
